OSBIC
A State Level Bio-Quiz Competition
This is an advancement towards encouraging potential in various strategic areas of applied biology & biotechnology. In the post covid era the significance of biological sciences has dramatically increased. As a responsible Institution in the field, we are initiating this small step towards spreading awareness of new frontiers of biotechnology.
Participating in OSBIC is a great opportunity for students to test their skills, compete with their peers and gain recognition for their hard work. It will also inspire them to pursue further studies in the field of biotechnology and in the growth of innovative thinking ability.
The Aims of OSBIC are-
Ø To discover and encourage young people in India to unluck the potential in the field of biotechnology.
Ø To foster friendly relationship among biotechnologist in India.
Ø To create an opportunity for the exchange of information on school syllabus and practices.
LEVEL A DETAILS
Students of 10+2 Science Passing out in 2025 with Biology as a subject.
ROUND 1 TEST: MODE- ONLINE, DATE: 15th Jan 2025 to 15th Feb 2025.
ROUND 2 TEST: MODE- ONLINE, DATE: 16th Feb 2025 to 15th March 2025.
ROUND 3 TEST: MODE- OFFLINE, DATE: 2nd week of April 2025.
- There will be three levels of examination such as Round-1, Round-2 and Round-3.
- Round 1 Tests:
- This round will be online.
- There will be 40 questions, Time:30 minutes. Each Question Carries 4 marks. Each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- There will be 2 attempts available. Best of the 2 tests will be taken for shortlisting of Round 2.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60 %.
- Round 2 Test:
- This round will be online.
- There will be 40 questions, Time:30 minutes. Each Question Carries 4 marks. Each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- There will be 1 attempt available.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60 %.
- Round 3: This round will be offline at Trident Academy of Technology.
- Based on the result of final examination (Round-3) score students will be ranked and will be awarded cash prize and trophies.
- Students who will achieve Rank-1 will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- with certificate.
- Similarly cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- will be awarded to Rank-2, Rs. 15,000/- will be awarded to Rank-3, Rs. 10,000/- will be awared to Rank-4 and Rs.5000/- will be awarded to Rank-5.
- For tie situation when more than one candidate scores the same marks, all students will get the same reward.
- All participants in Round-3 examination will get a participant certificate of OSBIC 2025.
- Online Bio Quiz competition consists of MCQ based question at all levels.
- Total numbers of questions will be 40 at each round.
- Each question carries 4 marks. (-1 for each wrong answer)
- Centre of examination for Round-1 and Round-2 – Students respective home/school/college.
- Round-3 examination will be conducted in Trident Academy of creative Technology, Bhubaneswar.

Students of 10+2+3 Science Passing out in 2025.
